Have just purchased a small portable baggage scale from a $2 shop at Robina on the Gold Coast, cost $6 it also has a tape measure for I imagine measuring your hand luggage.
I would think if I was able to get one they would possibly be at other $2 shops, gotta love these shops they come up with all sorts of nifty stuff.
