Well, we've only had ours in for 3 days, and so far they are okay.

Bear in mind that the hair is actually 'dead'.. so it can get pretty dry, and you need to get regular treatments or a really good quality conditioner.

I've found that a lot depends on the quality of the hair as well. If its been well looked after, silky etc, then its great.. but I can't imagine anyone who spends hours everyday giving their hair milk baths etc, then going and getting it chopped off. So the real hair extensions can be a lower quality hair.

Long story short.. my real hair is much softer, but I can live with it.

As for price... hunt around a bit, and do an archive search on this forum for some recommended places. I found prices varied a great deal from salon to salon.
