but in a private apartment which looks really nice. I suppose it depends on individual expectations as I have friends that stay there 2 times a year and won't go anywhere else. I have also heard horror stories of overbooking and not getting the rooms you pay for but you need to stand your ground with the reception staff.
We usually stay at the Melasti beach resort and we never ate or drank there either apart from having the included breaky as it was over the top on prices. It seems to be the same story at most of the popular resorts. We used to buy our bintangs from the beach vendors each afternoon and had a great time.
