In May this year I broke my ankle in Bali so required wheelchair assistance for my flight home. Jet* couldn't provide a Star Class seat so my insurance company arranged a business class flight with Garuda. They were excellent, did all the check-in and departure formalities and we were fast-tracked all the way to the lounge. Upon arrival in Perth I had to wait until all passengers disembarked and was met by an extremely rude lady who obviously didn't want to be bothered with having to assist a person in a wheelchair. I asked to go to the Duty Free and she refused at first but when I said that I hadn't been able to do any shopping in Bali and insisted that I wanted my duty free allowance she grudgingly agreed. I also was dumped in the arrivals area and left on my own with all my luggage until my friends arrived to pick me up. Not happy Jan.
