My partner and I and friends are staying in Bali from 17th - 23rd of September this year on a wedding recon mission and are staying at the Kuta Seaview Cottages between Poppies 1 and 2 for the last couple of days. They have emailed me saying that we have to pay a compulsory Lebaran dinner fee of 30 USD per person, per night for each night (21st and 22nd). Is this normal practice and does it mean we get a big feast to coincide with Lebaran or is it just them being greedy? Its the only accomodation we could find in Kuta and I would like to stay there but not at the cost of 60 USD extra. Any info would be appreciated.
