My son's 3month ceremoni is on 13th October. Its actually 105 days after they are born. He had one to celebrate 12 days old, and one to celebrate his belly button falling off.. Im not Balinese but my husband is. It does get a bit confusing with all the ceremonies happening. Im still learning. He will also have one at 6 months (actually 210 days) and then celebrate his "birthday" every 210 days.. As with wedding gifts, funeral gifts, etc.. I believe money in an envelope is appropriate.. For our wedding and others i have seen, we had a box with a small cut in it and everyone just put the envelope in there.. Any amount is greatly appreciated.. Generally we put in 100,000rp but it is entirely up to you.
Have fun, its a great celebration of life and so much more special when its for babies..
