for hotel. Go up Rum Jungle road and opposite a school on Rum Jungle road there is a Money exchange store, looks like a bank and their rate is quite good.
The other place we use is on Legian Street, you go up Rum Jungle Rd to the top of the street to Legian street and directly opposite on Legian street there is a travel/realestate agent which changes money his rate is sometimes better than the bank in Rum Jungle Rd, he is very honest too.
I feel its better to change money outside KP hotel as you get a better convertion rate.
Cash money on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as the rate is always better than weekends.
Use your calculator to make sure the rate he gives you is right.
You can cash large amounts at either of these places.
Rate on the day we left was 8325 that was a Wednesday at a Kodak shop opposite the Adi Dharama Cottages as we were staying up that end, however in saying this we cashed more at the one opposite Rum Jungle road on Legian street as his rate was better most days.
I always pay KP in cash or Credit card but when converted to Australian dollars back home on credit card it costs us more as the bank don't give you the same rate as to what's on the street in bali and charge you a fee too.
Cashing aussie dollars into rupiah is the best way to pay for hotel,
no bank fees at all.
