Hello

Reading your post on wanting to pay the hotel with cash firstly check and see if the hotel accepts the Aud. as most deal with only Rupiah or U.S. dollars.

We are from Melbourne and we pay the hotel with U.S.dollars

We travel to the city Melb.and use the mony exchangers there to buy our U.S. as we get better rates than the banks offer and you dont pay commission at the better ones.

What is most IMPORTANT for taking U.S currency to Bali is.

The notes must be in good condition and must be after 2003 print with no CB codes.

Hotels and most money changers in Bali wont accept notes of poor quality and less than 2003 print. Some money exchangers may change your money but will often give you much less for early print notes.

Peter
