Help Need! Bringing Balinese into Aust.

If anyone can help it would be most appreciated. I want to bring a balinese friend over for a holiday. She is currently in the process of getting her passport. Now I am getting conflicting information about what the next steps are and what her and my requirements are. If anyone can help it would be most appreciated.
