Then there is what really happens. Robbieganteng has already hit on this. If you can not get your retirement visa by simply producing your passport and the appropriate money, go to another agent.
Above all talk to other expats who have a retirement visa. This is how you learn what really goes on.
Once you have a retirement visa you are liable for Fiskal Tax of 2,500,000 on trips out of Indonesia, however this also can be avoided.
P.S. This weekend Robbieganteng only got 3 out of 8 correct in the AFL football tipping comp!
