just wondering is it best to just grab a taxi to get to the zoo,and pay att he gate when we get there, or pay the extra for transfers when booking. If anyone has caught a taxi recently could you please give me an idea of what you paid.
We caught a taxi to the Reptile park last time we ere there. I can't remember what we paid, but had a hard time wiith the driver once we got there as he insited on waiting for us and taking us back to hotel after. This was fine in theory as we undrtood it was a long drive for him, especially with an empty car back to Kuta. However he insisted on leaving the meter running whilst we were in the park! We had no idea how long we would be so this alarmed us a little. I told him very firmly that if the meter was left running he could leave without us! He was still there when we were ready to leave, but thankfully had stopped the meter. We gave him a good tip of course for his time...Anyway, it was a little uncomfortable so would like to try and avoid that again.
