Arrived 11/8, five flights landing in a 10 minute window - chaos !
The yellow card system at the bottom of the stairs in arrivals is a farce...you could put your name down as Elvis and no body checks...my two travelling companions were pushed thru with the crowd and didn't even fill one in !!
Staying at the Haven Apartments off Double 66, spacious, very European and stylish. Breakfasts very good - downside (IMO) is the location.
Beach is 1K, restaurants are closest on the beach, Zanzibar very good, Oc-e-an too stylish for me, but both excellent positions for seaside viewing/dining.
Did the Bike Baik experience yesterday !! One word - Fantastic....
Wayan and crew are on a winner here, the only way to see the real Bali (at a pace), not a hard ride, 80% of the way is downhill. Great meal at the end at Wayan's house. Gusti our guide was a wealth of information along the way, stopping at frequent intervals to explain items of interest. A day not to me missed.
Weather has been wonderful, exchange averaging around 81K to 82K.
Poppoed in to K T H, saw dennisc is up with the leaders on the AFL tipping, asked of his whereabouts and was advised he was tidu, will make another visit and see if I can shout him a cleansing ale !!
All in all, having a wonderful time (as usual)looking at Kumala Pantai for next visit.....decisions, decisions, decisions...
Ramadan commences tomorrow, so I'd better go now and have a Bintang or two...
Thanks for reading.
