As for only getting $50.00 US bills, it's actually easier to be given $25.00 US dollars change as they have them readily available as others before have handed them in.

Another good reason for having US dollars is that you can get waved ahead of the queue if you wave it at the voa booth and they know they don't have to worry about change.

Also at the moment with the US dollar rate as it is you win.

We were ripped off with the exchange rate paying Aus dollars a while ago and it wasn't just a few dollars, it is a very intimidating place at the best of times and if you have been queueing for a while the quicker your out of there the better.
