Hi, kids loved so much of Singapore. Highlights would be;

1. Singapore Zoo - oh the photo opportunities!! So beautifully set out and accessible - and is there any creature more amazing than the Probiscus monkey :-)

2. Singapore Night Safari - loved the fire dancers of Borneo and the night time view of the animals

3. Singapore Flyer - we all felt we learnt about Singapore's history from the commentary, and great views of course

4. Fish spa - we did the one at the Singapore flyer, lots and lots of giggling from all

5. Duck Tour - touristy, gimmicky but we all loved the views and the novelty of going from land to river on the boat.

6. Sentosa island - we did a day visit, had a package ticket but still quite expensive. Very happy with the activities we selected in our package - luge (gosh this was fun, could have done it heaps, but too expensive), butterfly & insect display (again, I was stunned that we were all fascinated by this), segway ride (even our 8yo could zip around on this by the end)and lift to the top of the huge Merlion.

7. The food!!! Every meal was superb, I so wish we'd had more days there just for the eating choices, however our budget was well and truly ready for Bali. The $ for 3 days in Singapore with a family would last you about 2 weeks in Bali!

We would love to return, but think I'd wait a couple of years. They're doing some major building (Universal Studios on Sentosa Island) + casino/new botanic gardens area near the Singapore Flyer. It would be great to return and see those in action.

We stayed at Traders hotel, found it very hard to find anywhere with a pool that would fit 3 kids, so ended up using my corporate rate to book 2 connecting rooms there. It's down near the Botanical gardens, about 10mins walk to nearest subway, and shopping centre right next door, we were very happy with it.
