Isn't it amazing that you can't wait to get back to Bali with all the planning and looking forward to seeing friends and all the things you are going to do etc, and then it just flies by so quickly and the next thing you know, you are back at work again.
Our direct flight from Melbourne with Garuda went wonderfully well with no hiccups and we got through customs quicker than normal.
Our stay at Satriya surpassed all expectations, so thankyou once again to those of you who recommended it. We will only go there now.
Mr Dipper and the staff were wonderful, so friendly. The food and drinks were great and the price was exactly what you saw, no ++.
We met Kylie from BTF and her family during our 2nd week. If you read this, it was great to meet you all around the bar and pool each day.
We had our usual trip to Lembongan on Sail Sensations, going over by sail boat is our favourite way to travel, takes longer but we like it.
When we returned to Benoa Harbour the manager came out and gave us their company tshirts because we are such frequent visitors....we got such a surprise, really topped off a wonderful day.
Went to Tootsies in Sanur and bought heaps as usual, the other stall holders would stick their heads in and kept looking at how much we were buying. They didn't even try to hassle us when we walked out as they probably realised we had no money left.
One night went to watch the sunset sitting on the red cushions at the front of Seaview Cottages except that night it clouded over and we didn't get to see it. But we didn't mind at all, as we were all in stitches watching the parking attendant pushing the cars back and forth to let other cars in and out. He dopped a Rupiah note on the road and to see him trying to duck and weave the traffic to pick it up before blowing away was a scream. He knew we were watching him and he turned and gave us a wave.
This time around we tried a lot of different eateries to our usual ones. Loved Bali Agung in Poppies 1 and Un's just to name a couple. After getting all the freebies I was too full to eat all of my main meal. Must never order an entree at Un's again.
Much shopping, walking, eating and drinking was had by all and now we have to start planning for next year hopefully in July.
Our return flight home went well till we hit Melbourne and had to land in the middle of a wind storm, thought oh my god, we have travelled all this way with no problems and are going to crash 2 feet off the ground...haha
Our plane landed first that morning and got through customs the quickest we ever had, fantastic. There was a sign saying that Channel 7 were filming there that day but we didn't see them.
Cheers
