jetstar - dep to Melb

I have been waiting for July 2010 flights to be released & I see today they are from Denpasar to Melb but via Darwin - anyone know if this is normal and the direct flights will be released later or should I just take it now? Also in US$, do they convert at time of purchase? thanks in advance....
