After reading comments posted by Putra_ Les I have to agree that things just don't seem to be adding up particularly the comment "If any funds were available from the administrators of OzJet and these are sent to IndoJet Asia in Indonesia, I suspect that there would be little chance of these funds filtering-down to IndoJet Perth for client refunds".My question is why would the administrators of Ozjet be issuing money back to Indojet when it was noted into the minutes of the first creditors meeting held on Friday 29th May that "the company's main asset is a debitor, Indojet Asia Pty Ltd, in the amount of approximately $2,000,000. The Chairman advised that legal proceedings have or should be on foot, commenced by the company's (Ozjet) former solicitor".
I think this clearly casts a lot of doubts over the denials made by Indojet that it owed Ozjet any money and further casts doubts on their claims that it had been paying in advance. As poorly run as Ozjet appear to have been it does add weight to their statements that the situation has been exacerbated by money owed by Indojet. Perhaps the attempt to recover the money by Ozjet from Indojet is the real reason why flights were suspended and why Indojet are finding difficulty in getting another carrier and why the refunds have not been paid.
If we are to accept the reason Indojet gave us about suspending their flights and how the decision was taken to minimise the impact on the upcoming holiday season, how can they actually believe that they will have flights in operation in December (another peak holiday season).
As things appear at present it would seem that getting refunds is going to be a long drawn out process as Indojet continue to hide behind temporary suspension of flights with perhaps little intention to look after those who are owed refunds.
