depending on how many planes are in at the same time or how many staff are on duty in immigration and customs. I have flown into Perth 4 times and i reckon on average there would be a half to 1 hour wait to get your bags and go through immigration and customs. If your really lucky you'll be out in an hour. I think the shuttle takes about 15 mins to get to domestic so you'd be squeezing it, especially if your Melbourne flight is a budget one.

Air Asia x from KL was fine but delays can depend on departure point ie Denpasar. I would allow more time, minimum 3 hours
