We stayed at the Losari in Garlic Land a few weeks ago - bout US$55 a night incl breakfest. Its nothing fancy, 4 story, but clean & friendly, rooms were quite large ( bigger than the Dynasty where we've stayed twice!) and right smack in the middle of Legian. All we wanted was a clean bed, not wanting the lush gardens, huge bars & restaurants, beach views, kiddies play grounds etc - been there done that! Staying at the Casa Padma (Padma St), just round the corner, in Oct - bit more expensive, but visited it in July & it looks good. Also saw the Legian Village alo Padma St, bout US38/night, this also looked ok & will probably go there next
