All Balinese need to contribute to the project..
The idea of the Ogah Ogah parade is to frighten off the evil spirits, make them leave Bali. They make the ugly scary ogah ogahs and makes lots of racket. If the evil spirits return the following day, Bali is empty, no noise, no aircfart, no cars, no motor bikes, no-one in the streets, no fires etc.
We have been to a big parade in Sanur previously.
