we always use Sari Bunga Wangi in Jl Padma Utara. If you go north from Jl Padma, they are on the right just after the road does a quick left, right turn, about 100 metres before Melasti Beach Hotel.
Nyoman and Putu have well looked after cars. We paid Rp 170,000 with an excess of US$300. You can get cheaper prices around, but we have used them for years, and have never had a problem. A mate used a cheapie once and was stranded in Ubud for most of a day, too much of a hassle.
