Being a champagne drinker I always take my own - 5 x 200ml piccolos in the suitcase (enclosed in bubble wrap)and hubby usually takes 5 for me as well. Have done this to Bali and Malaysia (Borneo) and Thailand with no problems. We are going to Bali again in October with a group of 16 so all the Bintang drinkers will be carrying piccolos for the champagne drinkers.
I find piccolos easier than the 750ml bottles as they fit better into the bar fridge, easier to carry down to the beach, pool and you don't have to worry about any leftovers going flat.
Make sure you don't take more than your 1 litre pp limit.
