You will end up with some Malaysian Ringgits before you leave the plane, because when you use a $A note on the plane they will give your change in Malaysian Ringgits. They use a very poor exchange rate of $A1 = 2 Malaysian Ringgits, whereas the current exchange rate is $A1 = 2.8 Malaysian Ringgits.
You will not need that many Malaysian Ringgits as prices at the fast food restaurants are cheap. You can use your credit card at the Duty Free shops, though the range of goods is quite small.
There are money changers in the LCCT.
