genuine French sommelier so he really knows his wines and is very personable. We hadn't been in a year but he remembered us - the Kiwi feather cloak perhaps.

The kitchen is headed by a French chef. Being Kiwi's we all had his " 7 hour slow cooked lamb shoulder'served in a bowl with a wonderfully flavoursome sauce. The portion size looked small but it was filling.

We had 3 different desserts, all light and again simply superb.

Staff knowledgable, personable and well trained.

Expensive, but you don't come away feeling ripped off as you do with some other expensive, and not so expensive, places.
