hi, just got back from Bali and they checked hand luggage about 3 times in all,in airport when leaving Bali, BUT before large CHECK IN bag was checked on with airline they also opened that and seached it thorougly...families, everyone had to open large check in bags. I had tamper tie on and had a lot of trouble getting it off, so prob won't use those again, just a lock so I can get my bag opened when asked to. Good I suppose to make sure we are safe. This is first time I have had my large bag searched when at airline counter departing Denpasar, but as I said, I did not mind so much.
