Dreamland Beach

We are off to Bali this Wednesday and I have seen a few posts in the archives re Dreamland. Can someone please tell us what it is like now and if it is worth visiting for a day? We loved the beach and also the general environment with the foodsellers there. I gather things have changed somewhat.
Any alternative suggestions?
