you are right.
Obviously there is something more than fishy about all these assassin postings from people not to be heard of again.
The problem is that people can make postings like some of those below for three reasons:-
1) The complaints are genuine.
2) As part of a vendetta against the owner and/or staff.
3) To clear out a few beds and make some room.
As I know people who have stayed at SGI during the last fortnight, and because of the nature of the postings, I think #1 is unlikely.
I have personally never stayed at SGI, but I have had close friends staying there, and have even booked them in myself and spent some time there (being so close to KTH)
It has always been a genuine 2*, well located place in my view, and has generally given value for the prices charged.
Regarding keeping quiet about favourites, I doubt that in the current climate even that will make much difference.....the internet is an invasive and powerful tool in both a positive and negative sense.
