2 weeks is an excellent length of time!

We tend to try and have a day with activities - followed by a quieter day hanging out on the beach / at the pool etc.

Here are my 3 favourite day trips (we have done these with our driver Wayan Adiarsa www.wayanadiarsa.com

Day Trip (1) - Bukit Peninsula

Jimbaran Bay & fish market area
Nusa Dua / Tanjung Benoa (check out the watersports at Tangung if this is your thing)
Geger Beach (for lunch & a swim)
GWK Cultural Park - great views & amazing sculptures in an old quarry
Dreamland Beach
Uluwatu for the a look around the cliff-top temple followed by Kecak (fire) Dance performance at sunset

Day Trip (2) - Kintamani & Sightseeing

Celuk - famous for it's gold & silversmiths.
Sukawati - Markets
Mas - centre for wood carving
Ubud - Lunch at Ibu Oka (Located just across from the Ubud Tourist Information Center. Go early because once they sell out for the day, they close - famous for its traditional suckling pig & seen on lots of TV shows )
Bukit Jambul - terraced rice-fields
Besakih - Mother Temple, the most sacred Temple in Bali on the slopes of the Agung Volcano.
Kintamani volcano & it's lake, 1700 metres above sea level.

Day Trip (3) - Denpasar & Tanah Lot

Spend morning in Denpasar - department stores, gold street, markets
Tanah Lot Markets & Temple (plan to arrive around 2pm)
Dinner at Echo beach - remote beach popular with surfers and has a laid back cruisey vibe! Restaurant has a great seafood BBQ - all nights great but the best night is Sunday as they have a live band - but need to be there by 5 pm or else you won't get a table!)

I also recommend the bike tours (a great way to explore more off the beaten track) and an overnight stay (or 2!) somewhere else - like Lembongan, Amed or Lovina.

Have a great time!

Cheers
Sheryl
