Wow had a fantastic time at the villa could not recommend it enough for special event like wedding, honeymoon or just a bit of luxury.
Checked in to The Haven today hmmmm well what to say, i think its been open prematurely, the check in and out process was absolute chaos, hotel very very busy. Fantastic location, very nice decor but as many hotels in Bali already showing signs of poor design and poor maintenance and only been open since april this year. Rooms lovely, pool area lovely but to get really critical some poor design problems. The toddler pool is right near the resturant hence splashing the poor eaters is highly probable, very sharp corners in the toddler pool could make for a nasty foot or head injury. it appears not enough sun lounges for the whole place. Private balconies not so private as i enjoyed seeing and imagining what people where wondering around in their hotel robes smoking cigarrettes had been up to from my pool lounge. Very slippery floors throughout the hotel. Lovely and very friendly staff who i had to giggle as i watched 5 of them try to put up a travel cot then had to put them out of their agony and show them one simple step. Not sure if i have been spoilt by stillness of villas but find it noisey as i can hair dryres going , people having drinks getting roudy, many door bells ringing. So yeh a little undecided about the Haven as such.
Went to lunch at Zanziba really nice mei goreng, very busy in Seminyak area, hired a motor bike went and got monkey boy some new DVD's , headed up to Laluciola for drinks at the Frangi Bar amazing daquaries but really busy. Dropped monkey boy back with trusty nanny then headed out for dinner at Gado Gado well this could be contraversial but not rating it at all, nice service very accomodating as we didnt have a booking and had some friends join us mid meal. however menu too hip and complex and prawns average and hot chocolate cake not a patch on Kafe Warisan sorry fellow bali lovers you know who you are :).
