Yes, he used to be the Manager - a John Cleese lookalike, I believe.
Long gone now, but we still meet people that have stories about him at Horti Towers over and over again!
Nelson's Motel changed hands about 18 months ago to a couple who have really turned it around - invested big-time to improve every element they saw as a weakness - plus paint job, gardens and of course room make-overs.
The most positive is what they've done with the restaurant - it's now an excellent place to eat - the top one or two in town.
Always a pleasure when you can publicise a success story, isn't it?
Perhaps they'll see you again before long - they still have the occassional Murder Mystery Night which I believe are very popular - but more importantly - we hear a lot - and NEVER any negatives.
