so if the price was 8,000 I would give 10,000. If the price was 16,000 I would give 20,000. This applies to taxis or restaurants etc. If the room boy carries my shopping to my room I will give him 10,000, I also leave 5,000 or 10,000 each day for the room cleaners. I leave 5,000 or 10,000 each day on the table after my breakfast or other meal at the hotel. If the loo doesn't flush and engineering come to fix it, I will tip them 10,000 approx. I leave a tip at the beach bars where I have a drink and I usually buy the bartenders a drink. I do not give huge amounts but I do spread the tips around. I tip the guy who gives me a massage, plus he always drops me back to my hotel around the corner (even when I have snored and scared the hell out of the other patrons and myself). The one thing I always do is hand the tip to the person I want it to go to, don't just leave it at the till.
If I go to a restaurant and the food and service are abysmal I would not leave a tip, but that is a rare occurrence. Service charge goes to the establishment, tips are for the workers.
