... but were just careful to avoid anything "liquid" so we took things like chips, nuts, dried fruit, muesli bars, chocolate etc. The reason we did this was we were travelling with hungry teenagers and Pacific Blue have a spend limit on credit cards so with 5 of us to feed we would have either had to go hungry or take $AUS for the Oz to Bali portion of the flight which would have been a hassle. Also having lots of little snacks helped to keep the kids occupied!
I did buy one meal on the plane (the lamb shacks which was had been highly recommended by previous travellers on the BTF) and it was pretty yuck - and I'm certainly not a fussy eater by any standard! For the return flight we bought breakfast at Brisbane airport and the (nasty fast food) breakfast cost us nearly $50 !!!
As far as entertainment we took books, games, cards etc but if I went again with kids I would take a portable DVD player as it would have been useful once in Bali also :-)
Cheers
