And, yes it does depend on the grade and quality.
I suggest that you go to a "local" sort of "supermarket", like Super Nova in Kuta, and have a look at the fixed prices of the various size bags.
This will give you a good point of reference per kilo price.
It may be that these prices can be beaten at the open markets (We have done this at the large central market in Denpasar) but as you are a "whitey" (I assume?) it will be hard work getting the best price, and a switch of product to a lower grade after the deal is done is a possibility.
If you had a trustworthy local friend to purchase, and you kept out of sight, the prices would be more attractive.
