Day Four Crusty Demons/Rusty Demons, broken bones and attempted murder...
Kelly, Jess, Benny HILL and I went on the half day ATV and rafting trip.
The ATV was great fun and a bit of a push in places, no literally a bit of a push because some of the terrain gets a bit tight so you have to get a push to get through. Good fun.
Jess has ridden quite a bit before so she tore off like a crusty demon, BH and I on the other hand were a bit like the rusty demons. We did OK but after realising he had no brakes BH had to use the back end of Jess's bike to stop. At least that's what he said. I reckon he was just getting old and his reflexes aren't what they use to be. But a word of advice don't use the old yellow bikes at the ATV/Rafting.
Then came the attempted murder. We headed down to go rafting. It was awesome fun. We did the usual splash each other at the start and went down some rapids backwards. There were lizards swimming in the river, water skimmers everywhere and great scenery.
We hit a big rapid and somehow.........I ended up getting thrown out of the raft and landed on my back, on a rock. Of course I shrugged it off like the trooper I am but I'm actually scarred for life. I reckon that I only ended up in the water after someone, Benny HILL, gave me a gentle, nudge, push, shove over the side, when my back was turned......
He got bounced into me and I happened to be off balance, splash. At least that's what we're going with despite the hands I felt in my back. I ended up a bit sore but I won't admit it in public despite the bruises, limping and tears.
I recommend the ATV and Rafting. The lunch was pretty good afterwards too.
We went out for a local feed of BBQ Pork with Raceng. It was definitely an experience. I ate pig stomach, heart and sausage made from pigs intestine (I know it was always made from intestines 30 years ago) The chilli was HOT! The whole experience was great just because we were all out of our usual comfort zone. I don't endorse things normally but Hong Kong BBQ in Perth is still the best BBQ pork I have ever eaten. Balinese BBQ is more like roast pork and entrails but still very very nice.
We'll see how good Travelan really is tomorrow. I think we'll be just fine. If anything goes wrong it would only be because it's been 39 years since I ate pig stomach. For those of you who don't know, I'm 39.
Tomorrow, Panic Buying and Bubba Gumps.
