As others have said heaps of info in the archives. Read it all & make up your own mind.
Having a ring copied is a bit different from having something made from gold & stones you provide - at least if you're not happy you can walk away losing, at most, the deposit.
After my experience last year with Audrey Jeweller at Kuta Paradiso (a former partner with Mrs Pak) there is no way I would hand over for remodelling any jewellery of either sentimental or monetary value. I got ripped off & I am still out of pocket, despite repeated promises to rectify the problem. It was only after I told of my experience that others came forward with their stories. It is hard to admit on a public forum that you have been an absolute dill, naieve at best.
Audrey's business is no more, for which she blamed me. If she had done what she was paid well to do then her business would be thriving.
There is a place (maybe more than one?) in Gold St in Denpasar that gets consistently good write-ups. Ditto Mayang in Kuta Square.
But, of course, I would never have used Audrey at Kuta Paradiso were it not for the consistently glowing reviews.
Whenever anyone asks about jewellers in Bali I will say my piece as well as referring the poster to the archives so that at least she/he has plenty of information on which to base a decision.
