We have found cheapest option for Dec/Jan Tiger from Melb to Perth / AA Perth/Denpasar ... same for return. Tiger early Saturday flights link up with lay over in Perth for 6ish hours. On return it is only 3 hours in Perth. Insure4less have cheap policy that covers delayed flights ($50.50 two weeks) so backed up in case of delay on return from Denpasar. My daughers got return flights under $350, me, on different dates for just over $350, my son over new year for well under $500. Good stuff ... Christmas this year I went via Darwin to get a cheap deal but still cost close of $1000 per person.
