wouldn't worry about the tooth brush, tooth paste, bandaids, panadol, shampoo and conditioner and the skin products.
I would definately take sunscreen, insect repellant, a leave in conditioner for my hair, hand wipes, perfume and a good comfortable pair of shoes to start with. Tooth paste and brushes are really cheap and you can get decent shampoo and conditioner and skin creams over there much cheaper than home saves you lugging all those extra kilos. I would be very careful with shoulder bags I have even heard of then coming along on a bike and cutting the straps with a knife to get the bag. If you don't want to use one that you can tuck underneath your pants then I would more likely go for the one around the neck and only carry what you might spend for the day eg say $100 I would not take my passport out at all leave it in the safe with the rest of your money. I alway put my departure tax away straight away then you don't have to worry about it later. Depending on who you are flying with Garuda used to have small packs of tooth paste and a toothbrush in the toilet in the drawers ! I would definately take things that don't require ironing and light weight and bathers a must at least a couple of pairs because sometimes they don't dry. hope this helps have a great holiday I have 2 months to go and it can't come fast enough for me sick of this freezing cold weather.
