This is an upper market hotel, so like wise so are the prices. The food is great, especially the pizza restaurant onsite.
Yes, it can be pricey, by Bali standards, but then not by ours here.
It is far out, but the prices quoted are for the hotel taxi, call a bluebird from concierge and it's a matter of a couple of bucks into Kuta for a variety of dining, same when you're done, hail a Bluebird and it'll be the same home. Now the beach path is complete, so if you really object to the few bucks, walk, it's a nice walk. Many bogan people stay there and feel that they need to take their own grog into the pool area and then treat the staff like idiots during happy hour by ordering a lemonade, upon which you get 2, and they take their own scotch or whatever to mix. My opinion, if you can't afford the prices being charged, then don't stay there.
