most places are fully booked up in the most popular areas for quite a few months so people who are looking for walk in hotels and rooms or are waiting for last min may struggle a bit.

All hotels fully booked but not that busy on the streets?

Weather a bit more humid than previous July trips, mostly clear skies and hot though.

AU$ to Rup from 8250 to 8040 from the honest changers. I still swear buy the Kodak shops on Poppies 2,they had the best rates other than the con men changers.

Through immigration less than 30 mins in Bali on the Virgin flight from Perth,no such luck for others on flights before ours with some comming in a few days earlier with Virgin and not getting into their hotels until early hours.

Because we landed in Bali just a few days after the Jakarta bombings security was tight at the airport, they held people up in the walkway and only let 10-15 down at a time to pay voa which seemed to work well as there was no ques at either voa or immigration.

Porters were there to collect luggage on the way in but no porters to be seen this afternoon on the way out?which was much better in my opinion, casual walk to the xray machine without having your bags whisked off you the minute you step out of your transport.

Hotel rates have gone up but everything else is still cheap as chips :-)

Had a great time again, now just have to drop about 4 kilos before I get up tomorrow or nothing will fit!
