I am one of the many I guess that have been affected by the apalling business ethics of Indojet. My story starts back in January and after many worried phone calls and visits to my travel agent (the unbeatable one) and reassurances from them that all was ok it turned out otherwise. Fortuantely (I thought) my travel was at the end of
September and after much pressure being applied to the travel agent we found out that Island Bound Holidays had not paid any money to on to Indojet and would credit back to us the airfare component. At the same time Air Asia X announced their increased flights to Bali from
Perth and we were able to book on them with the travel agent using the credit from Island Bound to pay for the new airfares. Alas how foolish was I in not realising just how far the corrupt tenticles of Indojet can reach and now we find that Island Bound are unwilling to meet their promise. One can only ask how can this happen? Why are the relevant authorities content to sit back and do nothing? Why do these big name (the unbeatable one) travel agents not look after the interests of the people (customers)who pay them to arrange their holidays? I would be very interested in any similar circumstances or suggestions on how I should deal with this.
