They are almost across the road from each other about 2min walk from the Monkey Forest back entrance. Saren Indah is basically a flat property, Alam Indah is down a long driveway over hung with lush trees, this adds a few minutes walking time.

Saren Indah is small neat and tidy, very clean, beautiful staff.

Alam Indah is ramshackle, with it's little houses scattered around the wild beautiful gardens, a piece of Bali magic with all it's creatures. Indah is not so perfect but this makes it so much more of an experience. The staff are lovely the pool has views over that stunning gorge. Alam Indah is definitely not for everyone as it is quite rustic with a few ruff edges like doors that don't shut quite right etc. but like the other Alam properties it is very decorative, very much a part of Bali and there is something special that makes you feel like you are staying in a story book.

I have looked at Green Fields the room I saw was amazing, but I wouldn't stay there over Alam Indah even though it would probably get more stars if they were rated.

Cheers Deb.
