If you make the decision to go to Bali then make the most of your time there and do whatver it is that you had originally planned. Nobody other than the perpetrators know if or where they are going to strike so its impossible to hide anyway. All those killed or injured at Jimbaran in 2005 probably thought they were playing it safe and keeping a low profile.
