Here is an excerpt from a notice on Covermore Insurance Website <www.covermore.com.au> which IndoJet ticketholders may find of interest:
Important Information Regarding:
Indojet Suspension of Services
Issued: 7th July 2009
Applies for the Options, Business, Essentials, SaveMore, Travelsure & Corporate products
The following advice relates to policies issued on or before the 29th June 2009.
Indojet Asia Pty Ltd have temporarily suspended services for 4 weeks beginning from the 29th of June 2009. The
management have proposed this course of action to minimise the uncertainty of flight timings and to minimise the
impact on the passengers as a result of the peak holiday season this time of the year and the unavailability of
alternative carriers to transport Indojet's passengers.
At this time, the airline has not declared insolvency and as such, we are unable to offer any cover for claims arising
from the above situation under the Section entitled Travel Services Provider Insolvency (this Section is only
available in the Options and Travelsure products).
Insolvency:
"means the bankruptcy, provisional liquidation, liquidation, insolvency, appointment of a receiver or administrator,
entry into a scheme or arrangement, statutory protection, presentation of a petition for the compulsory winding up of,
stopping the payment of debts or the happening of anything of a similar nature under the laws of any jurisdiction."
As the airline has not been declared insolvent, there will be no cover provided under the Section of the Options or
Travelsure Policies headed Travel Services Provider Insolvency for claims relating to Indojet. Please note that the
Section headed Travel Services Provider Insolvency is available only in the Options or Travelsure policies.
Please be advised, however, that as the possibility of insolvency now exists, the following exclusion under the
Section of the Options and Travelsure Policies headed Travel Services Provider Insolvency will apply for any claim
made in the event that Indojet does become Insolvent in the future where the Relevant Time** of a customer's policy
is on or after the 29/06/2009.
Please refer to the section of the policy headed "Travel Services Provider Insolvency" which states:
We Will Not Pay For:
2. Insolvency of a Travel Services Provider if at the Relevant Time, the Travel Services Provider was Insolvent or a
reasonable person would have reason to expect the Travel Services Provider might become Insolvent
