8 days in bali

Hi will be in Bali in October - first time, coming from uk via singapore and borneo.
would like to see some of the island, have lazy days and shop for kids and grandkids ,including seeing a tailor for me! dont mind fakes and have abit of a handbag 'fetish'!

any ideas of good places to visit, shops etc, and what do people think of the elephant safari.
