If you can surf, for mellow A frame peaks try Balian, Canggu, Serangan.
For a mellow long left try Medewi, Balangan, or Impossibles (pretty quick down the line speed needed)
For sucky lefts try Uluwatu, Bingin, Padang Padang.
You can go over to Sanur point for a driving right hander or up the coast a bit to Keramas or Ketewel for some smackable rights but yo should surf this side before lunch and the onshore kicks in.

All are good, the sucky lefts being the more heavy and crowded btu offshore all day up till Sept/Oct.

Each has its own vibe too, depends on the neighbourhood village, but all are interesting in their own ways, exploration and mingling with the locals makes the trip even if the surf isn't that great.
