where do people get off saying that 'the girl was probably Javanese', 'balinese girls are virgins until they are married', 'balinese families frown upon sex before marriage'. this kind of generalising is absolute rubbish.
if a balinese family has a girl marked for their son/nephew etc, they will throw the boy and the girl together in the hope that she will become pregnant so that they will HAVE to get married.
this Ketut was a little scam artist and thats it. she probably is Balinese, but does that really matter? a scam artist is a scam artist, after all.
