Husband, myself and 2 sons aged 11 & 14 flew Garuda to Bali on July 6th, great flight didnt realise until we sat down how much more room Garuda Economy has than Jetstar..! Through customs, no white x on bags straight through and off to Alam Kul Kul, we booked a quad room here, plenty big enough, nice rooms, good pool. Didnt have breakfast thought at 15US per person we would walk up the street for breakkie, this was really nice. Went and ordered our Leather Jackets at Leon Tailor and doona cover very happy with the end result for everything.

After 4 nights at Legian we headed up to Lovina and stayed at Villa Agung, we travelled with another family so booked 3 of the 7 rooms on offer. We could not fault this place, small, personal, great location, great staff everything on hand for a relaxing getaway. Our friends swam with the Dolphins and loved it ( we have done this previousley) went snorkelling at Menganjen Island - just magic - went to Hot Springs, to Moonduk waterfall - not as touristy as Git Git. After 3 nights in Lovina we headed back to Legian via Aussie Garden where we ordered some pots and a water feature.

Upon arival back in Legian we checked into The Lokha, well what can we say a lovely smaller resort (49 rooms), fantastic location, wonderful staff, big rooms - we booked 2 rooms here next door to each other 1 twin 1 double, great pool, massages, breakfast this place has it all and we will definately stay here again.

While in Legian we took a day trip to the beaches ie Padang Padang, Uluwatu & Dreamland beach, we planned to go to Echo Beach to watch the sunset and have dinner, it was a Sunday night and as we did not book there was not a chance of getting a table so we alked to another little place had a few drinks and headed back to Legian after sunset for dinner, will definately book next time.

We did the Bike Tour from Kintamani to Ubud, what a fantastic day this was 35km downhill through little villages all the kids running out to say hello and give high fives, we rode through rice paddies and all in all had a fantastic day. We chose not to book with Bali Baik Tours as we wanted to take our indonesian friend and they told him that was not possible even though we were willing to pay for him..! They also provided a smaller bike for our 11 yr old.

The usual ritual of the boys having a day at water bomb is always a good day out, went to the safari park and as all reports say is a great day out, spent some time at the water park with a few Bintangs to top off the day, although no-one can tell those tigers & ceatahs for the photos are not drugged..~!!!! just my opinion though.

Ate at Mozzarella - 2 doors up from indo national - great food, went back there again, Indo-National, Sea Side, Lanai, Mango Tree (nice location very average food though..!!) Queens Tandoor, Posers, Koori, TJ's, Legian Snacks, all meals were great other then The Mango tree and some other place no idea of the name offering main meal, soft drink, Bruschetta for 27,000 the price should have been the warning..!!

Oh I found silverberry got 12 beautiful 'pandora' charms to get there go up JL Padma, turn left into JL Legian cross the road and walk approx 300 metres it is almost oppisite Manic Hair Design, Silverberry is a small glass fronted shop that took me a while to find as there are so many conflicting directions.

Our 14 yr old went on the slingshot in Kuta with his 17 yr old mate and they cant wait to go back....!!!!

We were paying approx 30,000 for t-shirts, 25,000 for singlets, 30,000 boardshorts, 20,000 for fabric bags, 100,000 for prada, Gucci etc leather bags. Came home with a swag of Wii games too as the kids have just got a Wii, very happy boys I must say.

After filling our suitcases, getting our dose of sunlight and generally having a great family holiday we were off to the airport July 23rd, went to Dewi Lounge, bargained down the price from 400,000rp to 200,000rp, all food drink internet covered nice lounge to spend the last few hours in.
Thanks for reading, Cheers, Kylie
