...family for our first trip to Bali. Have given the threat of terrorist attack considerable thought and decided that we will go. We're not doing any bus tours or hitting nightclubs and regardless of terrorist threat or not, we wouldn't have been taking the kids to any American chain style take away food places anyway!

We will only cancel our holiday if the DFAT website changes it warning to 'Do Not Travel' as I don't believe the warning would be changed without good reason and under our travel insurance policy, we wouldn't be covered so certainly wouldn't risk travelling without insurance.

Husband and I have travelled quite extensively over the years (and have been close to where a car bomb went off once) but it's a whole different ball game when you're taking your kids so we certainly will be more thoughtful of where we eat, tourist attractions etc.

Counting down the days!
