Thanks!!!

The short answer is not fit at all, if I did it!!! :P LOL

If I were to do it again I would start earlier than expected. Make your guide aware that you would like to take time to start early and star gaze and take it easy. The views of the stars are breath taking:P (Sorry I cannot remember how long it takes maybe a couple of hours??) Hopefully other forumites will remind us??

Be aware that you will be climbing a rocky hill by torch light. At times there are STEEP steps. But also be aware that years on you will look at the photos and feel amazed that you did it.

All that I can remember is the feel of the hot rock wall, the best cooked eggs in a shell that I have ever had and the most surreal views. Coming down the volcano was awesome as we slid down on the ash. There is only a faint memory of the significant pain in our knees the day after which we can laugh about now.

TIP: Don't expect a paved smooth pathway.
TIP: Take a jumper. It gets cold up there!!

Bottom line: It is a LOT of work but it IS worth the effort:D
