White Rose Hotel - food, shopping

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has stayed at the White Rose Hotel?
(have only stayed at the Aston which was 10yrs ago so things have probably changed greatly!!)
Also where to go for the following:
- food
- shopping - clothes for 18 month old, best surf stores, tailor made suits and dvds
- day spa / pampering
Anything else that you may have done that is near this hotel that you feel is worthwhile!!
